Education Services - Senior Technical Engineer

The Role

  • To provide 2nd and 3rd level remote and onsite support to our education clients 
  • Supporting 2nd line team in resolving issues and acting as an escalation point for technical queries 
  • Reviewing and amending technical documentation as required 
  • Assisting Service Delivery Manager to resolve all P1 or VIP issues efficiently 

Required Experience  

The candidate should have experience in most of the following:  

  •  Background working within an education/school IT team
  • Windows SBS 2008, Server 2012 R2 and Server 2016 
  • Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Active Directory Sync and Azure 
  • Active Directory, Group Policy Management, Print Management 
  • Windows Server Backup, Datto and Symantec Backup 
  • Virtualisation, Hyper V and VMware 
  • Remote Desktop Services 
  • Dell Hardware (Servers, SAN and iDrac) 
  • Strong networking knowledge covering LAN/ VLAN and WAN technologies 
  • Configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Meraki, Zyxel, Draytek and Netgear firewalls/routers, wireless access points and switches.
